My All Boho Chic Story...

Picture

How it all started…

After much thought and strain every step of the way, my blog has finally emerged!  For many years, I have been very comfortable with painting and “pseudo-decorating” within the confines of my own home (personal space) for myself and others on a small scale and only by word of mouth. After many dressers, beds, vanities, cribs, kitchen  and bathroom cabinets, along with too many other wonderful pieces that I have transformed all in challenging conditions, I have decided to share my voyage into my interests, passions, dreams, obsessions and “craziness” with the world. Whether this is something someone else wants to experience with me is a huge question, but I look forward to the upcoming journey…Hope you are all with me!

Before my son, Carson, was born almost 12 years ago, you may remember I had a quaint little store front in Seminole Heights, called Broken Inn. While that was a great experience and an opportunity for me to meet another whole world of wonderful people, I just felt it was time to concentrate on being a mother for Carson and put my dream of helping people to look past their “comfort-zone” style and see the beauty of pieces that were discarded and re-purposed. Broken Inn was an opportunity to create these pieces from “junk” and discover a new role for them to play while finding suitable homes where they could flourish for a bit longer. I do want to clarify that “junk” does not mean the same thing to me as for the rest of the sane world! I love anything that roughly painted, rusty, metal, old wood, and anything with a story. I just want to find a way to make all of these things work together in a new setting and incorporate them into my life or someone else’s.

So, what does all this mean? My dream for this blog is to create, collect and share ideas for a bohemian style that can mesh many perceptions together into a comfortable style and, more importantly, one that can be integrated into any lifestyle. With that in mind, I will display many of my creations along with some updates on their progress along with a surprise up my sleeve to facilitate the opportunity to experience bohemian style in person.
So, buckle up and join me on the All BOHO Chic journey…I would love to have you!
